Our team was tasked with creating the ultimate explainer campaign to help people understand the technology of Sprints 5G. The technology was broken up to 5 features of 5G: Latency, Speed, Coverage, Capacity, and Density.
Our print and digital campaign lead readers to our digital 5G explainer web page, a long encyclopedia of 5G knowledge from a youtube series called "Okay, but how?". Animated deep dives delving into the technology behind it all.
We wanted to stand out from the competition so we created CGI visuals that would make the campaign stand out whilst educating readers on how the technology works.
Working as a designer, helping create content, and working with Edu and Daniel on the 3D visuals. I also worked on the “Okay, But How” show creating the title scenes, illustrations, and animations.
Daniel Buxton (Art Direction), Edu Escanho (3D Motinion), Matthew Horsnell, Hendrik Hohenstein (Designer), Ákos Sándor (Designer), David Leach (Designer), Chris Robson (Developer), Scott Madill (Design & Artwork), and Sean Leahy (Artwork).
Working closely together as a team we had to develop visuals that would explain complex tech to easily understandable visuals. We had a main hero graphic called planet sprint which then would set our visual language.
With such complex technology behind 5G, we had a youtube series created to help explain. Asking our tech experts a series of questions explaining the 5G tech on camera while having illustrations help the viewer to understand how it all works.
This page was our hub of all things about Sprints 5G. Set in a dynamic layout that showed our CGI visuals, Videos, Deep-dive explainers, and our "Okay, but how?" show.
